How does the course work?

At TicketSchool.com we don’t just offer courses for those with tickets. We also provide state-approved courses to help you get your license. The Illinois Adult Driver Education Course is one of those courses. If you are age 18, 19, or 20 and have never had a driver’s license, the State of Illinois requires the completion of this course as part of the process. Here is how it works:

1. Register: In just a few minutes you can create an account, pay, and have access to get started in your course.

2. Complete the Course: As an Illinois Secretary of State-approved course, it must be six hours in length. The course contains text, videos, and animations spread across six units. You don’t have to be online on any particular day or time. The course is ready and available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week from any internet-enabled device (PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone). You can log in and out as your schedule requires and the course will automatically save your progress.

How does the course work?

3. Unit Quizzes / Final Exam: You are required to pass a short multiple-choice quiz at the end of each unit (six units) and a 20 multiple choice question final exam at the end. Don’t stress! You are given unlimited attempts to pass each unit quiz and two attempts to pass the final exam.

4. Completion Certificate / Reporting: When you successfully pass the course, your completion will be reported to the Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) electronically within one business day. Once reported, you will receive an email from the SOS system at the email address you provided when you registered for the course. This email will include a link to download your certificate of completion. Once you have printed the certificate, bring it to the nearest Secretary of State facility with your other required identification documents and complete the remaining requirements (i.e. vision, written, and road test).
