Most of our customers need to take this course to satisfy a requirement of a Virginia court or the DMV. If this is the case, your paperwork from the court or DMV should tell you whether or not you are to receive demerit points when you attend the course. Other reasons for attendance include voluntary attendance for insurance discount or safe driver points. Please read the description for each reason code on the first page of registration if you are not sure which reason to choose, or contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
We report all student completions electronically to the Virginia DMV. We will also send your original certificate of completion to you using the method you select (i.e. regular mail or express delivery). Please note that we do not report completions to Virginia courts. If you have been court ordered to attend this course, it is your responsibility to sign your original certificate of completion and turn it in to the court. We recommend that you make a copy of your certificate for your records.
No. There are no restrictions on where you can take the online course. Please keep in mind, however, that you will need to travel to a Virginia testing center to take your in-person final exam. The Virginia DMV does not allow a person to take this exam outside the state of Virginia.
Yes. This 8-hour online Virginia driver improvement clinic is fully approved by the Virginia DMV and is accepted by all Virginia courts.
The quiz answer page opens in a pop-up window. The most common reason people can't see the answer page is that it is open behind the active browser window. Try minimizing or resizing the active browser window. If you now see the quiz answer page, the problem is solved. (You can also click any open windows at the bottom of your screen until you see the window that contains the quiz answer page.)
If the steps above do not help, it could be that your browser (or software on your computer) is blocking pop-up windows. Adjust the settings of any such programs to allow pop-up windows to open. After you have finished the course, you can restore the original settings.
A score of at least 80% is required to pass the 50-question final exam. (You are not allowed to miss more than ten questions.) If you fail the exam, you will not be able to attempt it again until the next business day. Most customers pass on their first attempt.

During registration, you will be required to answer a number of security questions (e.g. "Have you ever been to Europe?"). You will be asked the same questions again at random points in the course, and you will be required to respond correctly within a certain time. These questions are required by the Virginia DMV to verify that the person taking the course is the same person who signed up for the course. If you miss three security questions, you will be disqualified from the course and prompted to contact us for further instructions.

The main advantage of taking your course online instead of in a classroom is that you won't have to sit in a class for eight hours straight. You won't have to schedule a day off from work or spend all day Saturday in a driver improvement clinic since the online course can be taken from any location with an internet connection at any time of day.
